As technology rapidly changes what we do and how we do it in this century, it is critical that the policy, environment and tools in educational systems reflect the realities of life outside the walls of academia. If we want the next generation to thrive in a world enabled by information technology, we must give them the skills to make sense of and use the information that available to them. However, while it is important to ensure that the tools of technology are available, that's just the first step. Fully preparing and supporting educators in the instructional use of technology is critical for its productive and effective use. This session will explore on how best to engage civic society, academia, governments and multi-national companies with the aim to improve knowledge collaboration, creative thinking, R&D and administrative processes.
